Article about the sex industry and the IT industry joining together to combat the filter [1]

Government plans to filter internet use in Australia have sparked protests this weekend.

This month field trials were due to start which would block websites containing offensive content, such as child pornography.

But the plan has sparked controversy, with critics saying the filter will not work and will slow down internet access for everyone.

Now some Australian internet service providers have refused to take part, and last weekend protesters took to the streets to make their feelings known.

BBC Technology correspondent Mark Ward talks to Gareth about the future of the Australian field trial.
